Esté Armfield
Obtaining a Business Communication and Graphic Design degree at North West University in 2002 laid the foundation for Esté’s career. She built her experience from the ground up – first working for an advertising agency in Somerset West in 2004 and then moving to Cape Town for 2-years of dtp and printing know-how in the industry.
She founded the company with late husband Vernon Visser in 2006 and has more than 20 years graphic design and project management experience.
Chris Wingfield
Chris joined the team in May 2017 as our senior web developer and coder extraordinaire.
He loves playing guitar in his free time or driving to Darling to get some fresh air in the country side.
Talitha Joubert
With a history in jewellery design, Talitha brings a fresh perspective and creative flair as graphic designer to the team since 2015. She has a love (and certainly a knack) for packaging design and she has furthermore grown into a blossoming web designer over the past years.
Talitha likes experimenting with lino-cut prints after hours and has two gorgeous Boston Terrier babies with Charles-Napier.
Charles-Napier Joubert
Charles-Napier love for comics and drawing brought him to Two Fishes in 2018 as a very raw fish. He has evolved into a huge asset in developing our clients’ websites to perfection – especially with regards to mobile optimisation. He is currently studying SEO part-time – keep an eye on this space!
Charles-Napier loves Star Wars, music and spending his spare time behind a stove cooking delicious dishes for Talitha.
WHY THE NAME “TWO FISHES”
History of our company
Apple. IBM. Nike. Names we know that translates into known products.
So what is in a name? What is a name worth? It is worth as much as it can generate interest amongst your public.
With its inception in 2006 when husband and wife team Vernon and Esté Visser were brainstorming for a name for their design company, they wanted to make it creative enough that it would get people wondering about them. Having the surname “Visser” contributed generously to their creativity since they wanted something more personal as well as creative. Thus playing on “fishes” and the connection with “Visser – literally “fisher” – the company naming session was done.
Since then, a lot of water has flowed into the sea, and with Vernon’s passing in 2016, the connection with Visser remains the main memory of the company’s foundations. And thus Esté (now Armfield) together with her team carries the name Two Fishes Design with a lot of endearment and pride.
